Calper comes to life. A small group of investors invited Ricardo Ranauro, founder and president of the construction company, and his friend Guilherme Pernambuco to erect a building in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. Ricardo did not know it yet, but this would be the first of many projects for which he would be responsible throughout his career.

Calper's first project

Ricardo Ranauro and his college friend Guilherme Pernambuco formalize their partnership. The company builds its first residential project in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, located in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone.

Fabrício Ranauro, Ricardo’s cousin, is invited to join Calper as a partner.

Guilherme Pernambuco leaves the partnership and the cousins Ricardo and Fabrício become the only owners of the company, which is named Construtora Calper.

The construction company reaches the landmark of 20 projects delivered in Recreio dos Bandeirantes.

Calper launches Life Residencial: a fourteen-building complex with 657 units, which helped develop the region.

Calper completes the urban development of Vilas da Barra, a complex with 29 buildings erected by the construction company. This area received mobility investments and held the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The company launches the Lumina Offices and the Lumina Workstation, the first large commercial projects in Barra da Tijuca.

The corporate buildings stand prominently on Avenida Abelardo Bueno with their futuristic architectural concept.

The company launches a new concept of resort-style residential development in Campo Grande. With 495 units, Life Campo Grande was an absolute sales success and a landmark in the region’s real estate market.

Lumina Corporate, Calper’s first commercial enterprise in Nova Iguaçu, is launched. With a design inspired by Dubai’s luxurious developments, the grandeur and originality of Lumina Corporate made it stand out and change the skyscraper concept in the city.

Then, Calper launched A3 Offices, the first commercial development of the construction company in Avenida das Américas, one of the most important avenues in Barra da Tijuca.

The commercial developments A4 Offices and A5 Offices are launched, both on Avenida das Américas, with stores and commercial office spaces and a complete business infrastructure.

In the same year, the following residential developments were launched: Scenarium Residence, the first Calper residence in Jacarepaguá, built with a minimalist architectural concept; Wonderfull, in Recreio, with 512 units and a resort-style concept with a complete leisure area; and Contemporâneo in Campo Grande, a condominium with houses and apartment buildings with more than 45 leisure options.

Calper launches Sofisticato in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, with an architectural concept of firm and linear lines that reflect the beauty and sophistication of the residential complex composed of houses and buildings.

That same year Calper launched its first hotel in Rio de Janeiro, with a view of the Recreio sea and a differentiated façade designed to simulate the waves of the sea.

In addition, the company launched its most significant project, the Nexus Design & Residence in Macaé, a business complex consisting of a hotel, aparthotel, stores, and services.

Calper brings Frames Vila da Mídia to Pontal Oceânico, a new region in Recreio dos Bandeirantes. The residential complex – with nine buildings and 778 units – was chosen to be the Media Village during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Calper launches Brise in Jacarepaguá, a project that transforms the region, enchanting everyone with its functionality and innovative architecture. Brise has more than 20 leisure options: a true condominium club.

The company started a joint venture with Paladin Realty Partners, a leading real estate investment fund management company focused on Latin America. The partnership gave rise to Raro, a residential development located in Freguesia, which marked the region for its bold design with differentiated finishes and large, modern floor plans.

In the same year, the company celebrates three awards received from Destaque Ademi (Real Estate Leaders Association) for Contemporâneo (best medium or large social interest housing project), Design Hotel (best architectural conception), and Lumina Corporate (best commercial development).

Ricardo Ranauro becomes the only owner of Construtora Calper.
